During this contract, Missguided was the fast-growing UK-based company specialising in fast-fashion clothing and accessories for young women, mainly online but also with two dedicated retail outlets in London and several concession outlets in Selfridges department stores.
They were selling over a million pounds of clothes every day as well as dealing with returns and promotions, which created a lot of complex and fast-changing data in numerous systems and wildly different formats (SQL Server, MySQL, SAGE, Magento and SAP).
They contacted me during the early stages of a migration project to move their back-end systems from SQL Server to SAP. Following several trial runs and carefull planning, we succesfully migrated the entire business over to the new system in just a couple of hours during the night, using automated scripts, in time for the next morning shift to start without a hitch.
