The technologies
- C# DotNet framework
- SQL Server
- Google Maps
- In-house CMS integration
The problem
CodeComputerLove was the largest digital agency outside London in 2010, producing websites for large, and often international clients. Their full-time staff were too busy on new projects, so the company wanted a contractor to perform maintenance releases on existing customer sites.
The solution
This was a fixed-term contract over 3 months, for maintenance releases on several projects.
Work was largely unsupervised, managed through a kanban board with some very tight timescales and very little assistance from the busy software team.
The sites were all eCommerce, c# on Dotnet framework, with SQL server storage, often with a heavy reliance on JavaScript, JQuery, with some content being pulled from an in-house CodeComputerLove content management system.
I added integration with Google Maps to one of the sites.
